NT Resources Week 2011 Event Wrap

IIR would like to thank all speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and delegates who participated in the 5th Annual Mining the Territory in Darwin as part of NT Resources Week.

Event highlights

On the Tuesday before the conference delegates had the opportunity to visit Territory Resources Frances Creek Site. The participants thoroughly enjoyed the tour which was led by Geologist Laura Byrne and Mining Manager Bob Colson.

Wednesday's Exploration Day was well attended and delivered many case studies from projects in the Territory. In the evening delegates attended the Official NT Resources Week Welcome Reception at Parliament House which was hosted by the Chief Minister.

Thursday night's Gala Dinner, sponsored by INPEX was another event highlight. Notorious - Darwin's best LIVE band entertained over 400 delegates, speakers and exhibitors who dined and danced the night away.

Friday saw the close of the conference and also the day of the Cocktail Cruise. More than 120 delegates enjoyed drinks and canapes while cruising on the crystal clear waters of Darwin's sparling harbour!
